Day 4 to CA

YEAH WE MADE IT!!!  We made it. Arrived about 6:30 local time.

Mother's day was great.  Started out with sun and great temps.

We continued on to Phoenix on Rt. 60.  Beautiful ride.

We had to make a stop at the Chester's Harley dealer.  Someone lost the key fab.  I will not mention any names Aaron.
Most of the guys have American flags on the back.  I notice several of them started to fray.  We cannot have the Fairfield member looking like this for the Run. I decide I would sew them.  I now have another name: Besty Ross Mama G.  :-)
As we leave here, We take I 10 and head into the desert.  It was 95 degrees just a bit warm.  Things were not looking good as there was wreck as we started.  Sitting on a bike in these temps was a bit warm.  Good thing it did not last long.

At one point there was acres and acres of corn... in the desert!!!
Here is Brian.  Can you tell?
If you look close there is a what looks like a dust tornado.  Saw lots of them.
This was out in the middle of the ride. A great reminder of WHY we are here.
As we come into Palm Springs we see the windmills again.  But it was like they were growing them.  All the other times do not compare to here.

Ride from Palm Springs to Ontario was crazy. 4-5 lane highway all the way.  As we went thru Indio, Dave called to us and said we were -16 feet below sea level.  Kind of cool.

As we pulled into the hotel, Brian captured this shot.  Check out the flag. This is where we will be for next 3 days.

To Brother Glenn:  it made it in one piece and kept us safe. THANKS

Total miles on the day 396. Total miles from Loveland to Ontario CA = 2234.

Day 3 to CA

This started out as a beautiful day.  We are now in New Mexico. Tim up to his antics.

Guys all started out in short sleeves.  An hour into the ride we all pulled over and started putting on jackets.
The wind was incredible ALLLLL day!!! Ride was great. We have such a beautiful county.  Pictures never do it justice.  Lots of windmill again today.  Say many animals: antelope, cows, horses, donkeys. It is flat for miles and miles.

These are antelope
Old diner at one of our stops in the middle of no where

Got a few pic of the guys riding

Larry and Brian.... they are just not right.

Rode a bit further for gas and had to add more layers...heading to mountains and a bit cold.

Check out the signs. We are in the middle of no where and there are Harley signs  (LOL)
We finally got to Arizona and into the mountains.  43 degrees and 9200 feet elevation.  COLD!!!!! Saw a little snow, but in a distance

Had a great ride on Rt 60.  Ask they guys how it compares to the "Tail of the Dragon".  And the country was beautiful.

This is the road we were on. LOTS of fun.

We Traveled I 40, got off to travel some back road: 219, 54, 60, I25, back on 60 to Globe where we are tonight.  It was about 600 miles and traveled 12 hours today.
Dave have his fun today as 3 times he tried to hit a bird.  Or may be Dave just was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  also at some point, a tumble weed rolled in front of him.
