Mother's day was great. Started out with sun and great temps.
We continued on to Phoenix on Rt. 60. Beautiful ride.
We had to make a stop at the Chester's Harley dealer. Someone lost the key fab. I will not mention any names Aaron.
Most of the guys have American flags on the back. I notice several of them started to fray. We cannot have the Fairfield member looking like this for the Run. I decide I would sew them. I now have another name: Besty Ross Mama G. :-)
As we leave here, We take I 10 and head into the desert. It was 95 degrees just a bit warm. Things were not looking good as there was wreck as we started. Sitting on a bike in these temps was a bit warm. Good thing it did not last long.
At one point there was acres and acres of corn... in the desert!!!
Here is Brian. Can you tell?
If you look close there is a what looks like a dust tornado. Saw lots of them.
This was out in the middle of the ride. A great reminder of WHY we are here.
As we come into Palm Springs we see the windmills again. But it was like they were growing them. All the other times do not compare to here.
Ride from Palm Springs to Ontario was crazy. 4-5 lane highway all the way. As we went thru Indio, Dave called to us and said we were -16 feet below sea level. Kind of cool.
As we pulled into the hotel, Brian captured this shot. Check out the flag. This is where we will be for next 3 days.
Total miles on the day 396. Total miles from Loveland to Ontario CA = 2234.
