Day 6 of the Run - May 18

We get started on another beautiful day.  No rain predicted.  Great!!!
Biscuits and gravy for all.  Fruit, eggs, juice.... wow another great meal.

We have our morning meeting and find we have to go thru tolls.  Seriously!  Then they said we pass on the side and do not pay as Kansas American League picked up the tab.

Cannot get by without some of our  beautiful country's pictures.

Here is the first toll booth.  we had to go thru here single file.  That was FUN!!!
There were a few places I saw this.  The second part of this I could never catch on my camera. "Alert Watch for Run for the Wall riders" . (or something like that)
Our first fill up for the day was also paid for by the same group paying the toll.

If you look close, that is the group riding over the bridge.
Traffic is stopped on the ramps as we get on. Nice job by the road guards!!

We are in the 6th spot today so there are a lot of bikes in front of us.  Neat to see.  Still amazes me and I have been riding for 6 days .  What a site!

As we approach out 2nd toll there are about 10-12 cones guiding us thru.  On everyone was an American flag.  Pretty cool.  Riders were really focused on riding thru safely, not sure how many saw this.
We got to go thru this one side by side.
We see this all day long.  pretty cool!!
As we come into Missouri, we get a police escort.  It goes all the way across the state.  No other traffic on the highway.  This is REALLY nice.

Look at the size and the time it must have taken to do this.  Remember, we are thru these bridges in a matter of minutes.  Some thing like this took time..... again AMAZING.  Check out Larry's thumb in the bottom right of the picture.
If you can zoom in on the picture, look for the red lights on the top of the hill..this is our escort.

This is another huge flag.  sorry was not centered, but wanted to post.  ( Wind got my hand on this one as it was pretty windy today.)
We are now entering Concordia,MO.  Another great reception!!

 Larry and Aaron

The kids put these on the table for us.
Here are several of the police officers that are escorting us across the state.
There was a Stealth  bomber that flew over. It was pretty loud .

Nathan is our new tail gunner, he replaced Larry. This is Jenny and Ken Ward's son.
Tim and Aaron (aka Thelma and Louise)
I wish I would have been able to get a better picture of this.  The sign says "Home of the free... because of the brave"  This is another one if you can zoom, it is neat.
Traffic stopped as we head out.

Check this out.  And we are only there for a gas stop.

Next traffic stop, check out the staging team.  They work really hard.

Leroy was able to ride in the missing man formation today,  Here is who he remembered.

 Heading into Wentzville. MO

This Gentleman sang a song about the Vietnam era.  He nailed it with his words.  Great!
