May 15, 2016 - in California

The day was pretty low key.  But heading out again. Here is Larry and Jean ready to roll.

Jenny and Ken have not been to the Pacific Ocean.  So the plan was head to the beach!! Friends of the Wards,  Harry and Martha, live in Dana Point which is right near the beach.  Harry is the Chairman of the Board for RFTW.

They suggested we go to brunch at Olamendi's.  It was about an hour ride from out hotel.  We got there and went right over to the beach so Jenny can say she touched the ocean.

THANKS Martha for Brunch.

Heading back to Hotel, The RFTW activities will be starting today.
Harry took the lead.
Larry and Jenny finally got a chance to clean their bike.  Free sample from Purple Slice.

Here are a few of the trailer that sell t-shirts, patches, pins.  Pretty awesome designs.

Few more rolled in today also from Cincinnati.  They went via Ohio, to N. Carolina, to Washington, to California. They  put on about 5000 miles.  LORD that is a long way!!  Here is Brian and Aaron with Ken and Larry.
Poor Tim is still having issue with his Shifter.  Last year the part that he uses with his heel fell off.  This year the whole forward and reverse assembly was lose. (I am sure my technical terms are not right but you get the idea)  He ended up heading to the local Harley deal so he should be ready to roll come Wednesday.

Everyone has to register.  Here is Winky, papa Smurf, Jenny and Ken
Winky (assistant route coordinator) and Papa Smurf (route coordinator).  Lots of work all year by these guys to make sure everything is in place.

We have several meetings tomorrow.  Since we will be helping Jenny, we will find out exactly what we will need to do.  So notes on that tomorrow.
