Sep 1, 2020 - National Park Ride - Red Lodge, MT to West Yellowstone, MT

 WOW!!!!!  Amazing! Awesome! Spectacular!!!

The sites today were gorgeous. Hope you will like the pics.

The day started at 45 degrees. Ugh!  OK everyone layer up again.

Courtney looked like a giant marshmallow.

We headed to Beartooth Pass on our way to Yellowstone National Park.  Hope you enjoy some of the pic.

Almost to the top!!

The TOP!!

Ron and Courtney
Larry and Jean

This  is Ron on the way down.

This is where we have to go.  Lots of switch backs.  Kind of reminded us of Pike Peak just not as sharp.

There is a small issue on the way down. Half of the road is gone.  One lane road.

Back on the road again.

We are then going thru Cooke City.   Courtney and Jean. We were ready for  a break.  Lots of turns for the last few hours but FUN.
Check this out.  No cell service here so guess what you use.  You all remember these?   Ha ha ha
Cute LITTLE town and the neatest General Store.

Check out this safe
These spice tins are actually used.
So is this register.  He rung our purchases on it.  Had the dinging sound and all.
Leave Cooke Cite and head to Yellowstone.
Park entrance.  Larry and I have Senior Lifetime passes so I rode in with Ron.
And check out how we were greeted as we go around the first bend.  HELLO!!!

You can see the yellow line.  The bike was on the line.  We just sat there until he passed us in the lane.  NOW that is up close and personal.  Courtney was with Larry behind us.  She froze so  bad she got no pics.
 Back on the road.
This is only a few minutes down the road.

Enjoy the ride.  The pics just do not do it justice

We sometimes saw these hot springs as we drove along.

Now we head into Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We had to walk 600 feet down.  Larry was looking for a golf cart or some kind of tow rope to get back up LOL
These are amazing waterfalls. I have pics from all side so just enjoy.

At the bottom.  This leads in to the waterfalls.
Top of the falls

Here is the same falls from the other side.
This is the canyon it empties into.

A different water fall
Heading out of the park

Funny we were all thinking we had not seen more wild life and then we see these elk
