May 6, 2025 - Day 3 to Ontario
Today was a very interesting day. We traveled from Shamrock, TX to Gallup, NM. We hit every kind of weather: fog, rain, sleet, wind, and even a little sun. (Thank goodness no hail)
We start out the day leaving 1 hour later than we wanted to. We had to wait for the red/yellow cells to pass thru. We all geared up including Jerry.
I feel like Pillsbury Doughboy. I have so many layers I cannot hardly move much less get on the bike.
Ron as we leave the hotel.
There is so much fog when we start that you can only see the base of the windmills and the blades as they come down.
Here is some of the weather we see within an hour. Shows how quickly the weather was changing.I noticed a field with the water irrigation system. They will not need this for a long time.
Yeah!!!!! you can now see a full windmill.
This always amazes me. This is one of the blades from the windmills.
Look how it compares to the pickup truck next to it.

Watch again how fast this weather changes. It did this all day.
The last hour of the day was like threading the needle between storms.
One on the left....
.....nothing in the middle.....
....one on the right.
