October 3,2022 - Saranac Lake, NY to Rockland, ME
That is right, you read it right.
So. I bet you can guess; we had frost on the bikes.
I will take cold over rain or snow any day.
Ron: We did not have a spatula to scrape the windshield,
but a towel worked pretty well.
BUT I still only have 6 layers.
Here is Saranac Lake as we leave this morning.
On the road, the day was just beautiful and the colors…well you decide.
We relied on google maps for our route. Pretty cool we ended up
jumping on a ferry to go across Lake Champlain.
Look at this ferry…. There are semis on it
Now we are in Vermont.
We all commented that as we crossed the lake there were no fall colors.
Everything was green. But about 15 miles down the road, they were back
.
Then Larry sees this sign. Kind of scary.
More pics. The sun was nice and warm, and temp worked its way up to 55.
You remember we had a grape vineyard day and apple orchard day,
today as we got into New Hampshire and Maine, we now have lake day.
Then Bethel Maine thought we needed to do some off roading:
This is Jackie and Jamie behind us. So much fun!!!
Then we get stopped for a one lane road. Same town. :-)
Jamie was stretching after that intense ride. LOL
This is the license plate on the car in front of us.
I thought it was pretty cool.
Back on the road
Now at our final destination for the day, Rockland ME.
This is the view from the parking lot of the hotel.
Got dark pretty quick after this.
Cannot wait to for tomorrow.
Temps: 28-58
Miles: 365
