May 7, 2019 - Day 2 to Ontario

Today started out cloudy and stayed that way most of the day.  Here is our morning view. Pretty nice.  Most of the day looked like this.  Lots of farms and cows and flooding.....
Went past a miniature pony farm.  They were so cute and so little and a lot of them.
Corn all over the place.  Just starting to come up.
We did see a lot of fields and side of the roads that look like this.  LOTS of water.
 Beautiful country all day long.
Even rode Route 66 for a little bit.
Ron did get a picture of us.  Check out the clouds.
Then we started seeing darker clouds!!!  ugh

We stopped 15 miles from our destination in Elk City, OK.  Larry and Ron checking radar.

We ended stopping here for about an hour then saw a small break.  We geared up in our rain gear and headed the last 15 miles of the day.  No rain , yeah!!!
BUT within 15 minutes of getting our room they started talking about tornado.  YIKES!!  We had planned to stop in Sayre tonight but found rooms in Elk City.  Sayre got the tornados.... and very severe weather.  Those prayer you all are sending to keep the riders safe is working.... THANKS.

Stopped in Elk City,OK

Temps: 61-81
Route: I-44, US 59, US 66, US 69, I-40
Total Miles: 520
